Outlook 2010, Recurring Meetings, and Time Zones RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a conference call that occurs every 2 weeks at 1500 UTC, with no respect to daylight savings time. I'm trying to find a way to tell Outlook to base this meeting on 1500 UTC. For some reason, the time zones button on the ribbon does, well, nothing. Any ideas on how to make this achieve my goal? Thanks!

  • After clicking Time Zones, click Recurrence - change the zone there.

However, if your plan is to make it stick at 3 pm, regardless of the time zone your computer is set for, that is not possible in Outlook 2010. All day events will stick to the day (no more 11 - 11 birthdays) but timed appointments adjust to "local time", taking into account DST if applicable.
