Choice Filter Webpart - Can Multiple Selections register as OR instead of AND?

I'm using a Choice Filter Webpart on a page. User chooses A or B or C, and the connected webpart displays as appropriate. I tried turning on the "allow multiple selections" option, and it seems to only function as an AND statement - that is, "Show items with both A and B in Column X." I'd like to make this work as an OR statement instead - that is, "Show items with either A or B in Column X."

Can this be configured? I'm not seeing anything obvious.

Hi,

In the SharePoint Choice Filter Web part, the feature “Allow Multiple Selections” is to enable clearing of a filter so users can see all the values in the List View Web Part, but we cannot user this feature to display the filtered results of two or more selections.

If you want to filter by multiple values, you should custom a web part using ASP.Net web part connection framework to connect web parts programmatically. These articles can help you to get started:
