Hi,
You are using an Exchange account and you'd like to start your Outlook client in online mode, right?
If so, please follow the steps below to turn off cached mode.
- Go to File > Account Settings.
- Double-click your email account, uncheck "Use Cached Exchange Mode to download email to an Outlook data file".
- Restart your Outlook client.
There is another situation: You pressed Work Offline in the Send/Receive tab, then you couldn't click it again to work online.
If this is the case, please refer to the suggestions below:
- Your profile may has been corrupt, please try creating and using a new Outlook profile via Control Panel > Mail > Show profile and see if there is any difference.
- If the issue persists, it is also suggested to repair your Office installation.
If none of the above is your case, could you please provide me with more details and screenshots about your issue?Hope this can be helpful, and if there is any update, please feel free to post back.
Regards,
Aidan Wang
