Latest W7 Updates Disabling My Printers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Over President's Day weekend, a large upgrade was automatically installed (18 pieces?), plus a single upgrade one night later.  Now, my printers are "uninstalled".  (I didn't do it!)  If I shut down my laptop (Dell XPS), and start it up again, sometimes it will find the printers (hmmm....thought they were uninstalled?).

Can we get an  update to fix the last update so it will stop messing with the printers?  I can't be the only W7 customer experiencing this problem. This is extremely frustrating when we're trying to get work done.  Also, I would like to know when the fix will be ready.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

Yes the Windows update issue sometimes can bring lots of troubles and do frustrating.

Regarding the printer issues, could we use it normally by now?

Based on the research, this might caused by the Printer Spooler corruption, we can take a try to clear the Printer Spooler Files and enable the Spooler Service again.

We can follow the steps mentioned here:

Windows 7 Printer Spooler does not start after the latest windows update

    Hope this might help

    Best regards

    Michael
