CUCM and Lync Integration video not work RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All!

    Between the two systems is configured SIP Trunk. Audio calls works fine. But video between cisco soft client(last version) and lync does not work( I used Microsoft and CISCO Whitepapers when setup)

    I assume that the video between systems should work, Lync support H.623 codec also.

    I analyzed SIP traffic:

    1 Outgoing call Lync to cisco

    fist INVITE - all good

    CSeq: 1 INVITE
    From: <sip:lync_test@xxxx.ru>;tag=4ae0123d4e;epid=5e01bc018d
    To: <sip:55555;phone-context=xxxx_site@xxxxx.ru;user=phone>
    a=rtpmap:9 G722/8000
    a=rtpmap:112 G7221/16000

    a=encryption:optional - configured as trunk option

    2. User press start video on Lync

    second INVITE

    m=audio 3840 RTP/SAVP 0 8 115 97 13 118 101

    m=video 5818 RTP/SAVP 121 34

    a=rtpmap:121 x-rtvc1/90000
    a=rtpmap:34 H263/90000
    a=encryption:required - o_O Why???

    3. and reply from CISCO

Answers

  • Video between CUCM and Lync is not supported over a SIP trunk. The mediation server does not support video and is not design for video so it actually wont work on any level for video.
