Unable to upgrade Windows 10 pro and Mobile with the latest Anniversary Update RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, My PC is presently running windows 10 pro version 10586. I have tried many times to upgrade with the Anniversary Upgrade, version: 14393

I have tried : Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant, but unfortunately, it stops after 69% each and every time.

In the Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, only showing: "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3176493)". Is it the Anniversary Update? I have already installed this update.

I have also downloaded "en_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1607_updated_jul_2016_x64_dvd_9058187.iso" from the MSDN portal, Is it safe to upgrade my windows by this iso file, without losing a single information?

If there is any other method, I can try for safely, without information loss, to upgrade my windows with anniversary Update, Please inform me.

One more thing, is Anniversary Update, released for Windows 10 mobile also? If yes, please tell a way, by which I can upgrade my mobile OS version also. Presently Windows 10 mobile on my Lumia 640 XL.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Pulkit Aggarwal,

Based on my test, if those steps don't work, I suggest that we could try refresh. Then updating again. If the issue still insists, we need download the Windows 10 ISO file to install. Please download from the link below.

  • Hi Pulkit Aggarwal,

Cumulative Updates KB3176495 (14393.51) for Windows 10 v1607 and KB3176493 (10586.545) for v1511 are now available from Windows Update.

Also we could use the new ISO file to upgrade the system version. Just in case, I suggest we could backup the important data firstly.

About the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, please refer to the link below to get more information.

The Anniversary Update for Windows 10 mobile has not been released. Considering the Anniversary Update is released recently, we are collecting some issues to repair. The update may come a few days — or even weeks later. Please wait patiently.

Hope it will be helpful to you
