SAN certs for UAG RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Since we are planning to use an internal PKI for internal SSL traffic, we only need to deploy public certificates on UAG.

What's the quickest way to generate a SAN request (multiple FQDNs in the SAN cert) so that we can run a SAN certificate on a single trunk and host multiple websites?

  • It depends; some public CAs (like GlobalSign) allow you to create everything in a form using an "AutoCSR" option. Other CAs (like Verisign I think) need a full CSR which includes the actual SAN elements within the CSR. Some other (like Digicert) combine a standard CSR with a form for the SAN entries.

Choose your vendor, then ask them how they do it! :)
