Desktop background of second monitor is not displayed (displayed only blue blank screen) When first monitor is set to assigned access mode RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have installed a Windows store app in a windows 8.1 machine. I connected a second monitor to my machine using VGA cables & i duplicated my display.

In my second monitor i set some background images and set to change images in 10 seconds interval. the images are changed as i expected.

In my first monitor(in my machine) , i run the Windows Store app in assigned access mode. Now in my second monitor i can see only a blue color blank screen.

what should i change to  see the desktop images in second monitor ?

  • Hi PM16,

When you set up assigned access you can choose any Modern App to be run exclusively and in full screen in a local account. The only Modern Apps that cannot be used are those that would allow a user to make changes to the local system and compromise the kiosk.

We could try update the graphic driver to the latest version. Then we could try customize your display to check.
