machine freeze Win 7 professional RRS feed

  • Ok i am trying to find the solution to my problem, this is it...

    My Win7 machine stop function and respond and i dont know why. most times i will have my browser , outlook, Acumin(specialized software) and Wmp running.

    Then suddenly the browser and windows explorer stop responding....

    when i toggle the num lock button the light go on & off, which tells me that it not a total system freeze.. I am able to hit alt ctlr del, and select any button that displays. i usually try task manager to try to kill some service or progress...but task manager task doesnt comes up... i then in turn force a shutdown..when i check my log i cant seem to find the source to my problem or may be im not troubleshooting well..

    machine spec

    4GB, 512 (hdd not full or half)

    2.6 dual core

    hp compaq 500b MT

    Did this issue occur before?

    I suggest to unplug all unnecessary hardware, and logon with Safe Mode or Clean Boot to see if the same issue occurs.

    Furthermore, you can  perform a whole disk scan to check if any virus on your machine. Also update all drivers and BIOS to the latest version for test.
