Upgrade Win 7HB to Win 7 Pro not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a new HP Core i5 that comes with W7HB, I used the Windows anytime upgrade, put the new serial of Win 7Pro, at the beggining it gave me an error the serial was not compatible with windows anytime upgrade, then I retried and works, but I can not see any differences is the same Win version, only say is a W7 Pro in the system view. For instance the IIS is "the same" I can not see the XP virtual emulation etc, etc.

Can you please tell me how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

  • Looking at the desk top, you are not going to see a difference.

Once you start to learn about W7 pro you will notice the expanded capablities.

You need to download Virtual pc and XP mode, or supply your own Vitual OP's for virtual machine.

Open "help and support" under start, and from there you can learn alot.

  • You'll need to download and install Windows XP Mode.  Please review: Install and use Windows XP Mode in Windows 7
