  • 1. What is Hyper V

       Hyper V is the virtualization software provided by Microsoft from Windows 2008 R2 using which we can create, run & destroy virtual machines.  Hyper V actually consists of 3 parts 

    1. VirStack

    2. Devices

    3. Hypervisor

    Each of the above modules listed have specific functions.  The Virstack is responsible for handling the devices, working with the VM & handling & servicing IO from VM's.  The Hypervisor module takes care of scheduling CPU resources, handling IRQ and works closely with the emulated virtual hardware. 

    What are the parameters that should be monitored in this VM's ??
