ADD PACKAGE from UNC path RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I use SFTmime.exe to add package to a App-V Client. When I take the manifest file from local path (as "c:\myfolder\myfile_manifest.xml" or other mapping drives) that works but when I take it from an UNC path, I have an error. Is there a possibility to use an UNC path?

    Thank you.

  • Adding a package from a UNC path requires using an extra \ to the path. e.g:

    SFTMIME ADD PACKAGE:"Office2010" /MANIFEST "\\\VBOXSVR\Packages\Office2010\Office2010_manifest.xml" /OVERRIDEURL "\\\VBOXSVR\Packages\Office2010\Office2010.sft" /GLOBAL /CONSOLE

  • Thank's for this reply,

With this way to add package, reloading the package may use the network or it's popssible to reload on local drive?
