  • Hi All,

    We have on-premise Sharepoint 2013 at our company and we want to use SkyDrive Pro to share files in a department. 

    We could succesfully added files to Sharepoint and synced to some computers. But some users have troubles with SkyDrive Pro. 

    First of all Skydrive stops sync without a reason. After several unsuccessfull sync try i stopped syncing library and synced agains. This time SkyDrive Pro synced it but only folders not files in folders.

    This user has Site Owner rights at site that library belongs. We couldn't find any event log record too.

    Do you have any idea how can we figure out the error and solve?

    Any help appreciated.

  • Hi All,

    We noticed that our problem was caused by Kaspersky Internet Security. It probably blocks SkyDrive, because it was downloading lots of file.

    After we had disabled it, SkyDrive successfuly downloaded all files.

    If anyone who has same trouble should check firewalls. Also i want to thank Wes MacDonald to inform me about update which avoid us possible future problems.

  • No we didn't install. Do you suggest?

  • You experience one or more of the following issues in Microsoft SkyDrive Pro 2013:
    • When a site name contains special characters (for example, "&"), you cannot sync document libraries.
    • SkyDrive Pro 2013 constantly displays a "Processing changes" message, even though all files are synced. 
    • When you delete files or folders for which the upload process has failed, the files or folders become stuck in Upload Center. 
    • Network connectivity problems may cause SkyDrive Pro 2013 to enter an unrecoverable error state.
    • You cannot rename files during the file upload process.

    My SkyDrive Pro is having these issues that you listed however that update only applies for MSI installations, and not click to run... any ideas how can I fix my issues?

  • Hi,

    I am not aware of a click-to-run edition of SkyDrive Pro.  It is available in a standalone version and bundled with Office 2013.  Have you tried installing the standalone edition?

  • Hi,

    I have a client 64bit win8 with Office 2013 Home Premium who wanted to use Skydrive pro with SP 2013 in Office 365. So I downloaded the click to run (300MB is not click to run) version. It got stuck on several tries. Tried de- and re-installing. It keeps messing up the cache, and then stops synching.

    My own Office pro version on Win8/O2013 64bit works fine.

    The site has no special characters other then a "1"

    It does keep saying that it is busy and the UDC cache has to be repaired.

    Anyone any ideas?
