  • No, you do not get MS Office free with any version of Windows.

However, you will sometimes see specials from commercial computer retailers that include MS Office but in reality you are still paying for.  You will also see some retailers including a free trial of MS Office which you must pay for if you want to continue using it.

    P.S.

This is a Windows 7 forum, not Windows 8

  • Hi,

If you are using a brand laptop, the manufacturer would insert Windows and Office to the device. When you connect Internet, they will be activated automatically. In a certain meaning, they are free for you.

Otherwise, we need to pay for Office no matter which Operating System version you are using.

    Bests,

    Joy.
