Error creating an image of drive D:, rc = 161 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

When I want to capture an image with MDT 2013 it will get te following error:

Error creating an image of drive D:, rc = 161
ZTI ERROR - Non-zero return code by ZTIBackup, rc = 161
Litetouch deployment failed, Return Code = -2147467259 0x80004005

After I click on ''Finish'' the PC tries to reboot, but it only gets the error that it can't complete the configuration.

    Can anyone help me?

Answers

  • It looks like the PC had reaced it maximum number of activations with sysprep.

I have done a clean install, and run MDT.

    Now it works.

  • Logs?

Logs are very important. https://keithga.wordpress.com/2014/10/24/video-mdt-2013-log-files-basics-bdd-log-and-smsts-log/ Mention any customizations you have made.

  • I have put all the logs in dropbox. With this link you can download and see them.

I have installed MDT 2013 and only configured one account to it so I don't need to enter the credentials.

Also I have imported the operating system where I want to capture the image from. After that I have made a task to capture an image of the machine.

I tried to capture the image of the machine by using te Litetouch.VBS file in the deployment share.

  • The failure is in DISM.  The specified path is invalid.  Does this already exist? /ImageFile:"\\nas01\mdt\Captures\CAP-03.wim"

  • The path ''\\nas01\mdt\captures'' exist.

But the file ''CAP-03.wim'' does not exist in this folder
