Test-CsExUMVoicemail fails RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

Trying to configure Exchange 2013/Lync 2013 UM and I get through the steps in the following blog:

    https://blog.msvconsultancy.co.uk/2013/04/lync-2013-voicemail-configuration/

until I reach the last command.  It fails with the following error:

    PS C:\Users\administrator.NETSMARTPAAS> Test-CsExUMVoiceMail -TargetFqdn "lyncpool.domain.com" -ReceiverSipAddress "sip:u2@domain.com" -SenderSip
    Address "sip:u1@domain.com" -SenderCredential $credential

    Target Fqdn   : lyncpool.domain.com
    Result        : Failure
    Latency       : 00:00:00.0481455
Error Message : 480, Temporarily Unavailable

    Diagnosis     : ErrorCode=13012,Source=LYNCPOOL.DOMAIN.COM,Reason=No
                    Routable
                    Endpoints.,callee=u2@domain.com,appname=InboundRouting
                    Microsoft.Rtc.Signaling.DiagnosticHeader

Any thoughts?  Do I need a dialplan on the lync server to match the dialplan on the ExchangeUM server?  I didn't see that in the instructions, but it makes sense that it would be needed.

  • Hello,

Did you ever find a resolution to this? Getting the exact same error code.

  • Hello,

After digging into the event logs of all associated servers, I got down to to the bottom of it. It seems that the error was due to the VoipSecurity parameter having been set to Unsecure in the UM dial plan. By running the command Set-UMDialPlan -VoipSecurity Secured, UM functionality started working as expected. This assumes the correct SAN names are set in the certificate bound to the Exchange UM servers.
