There are a few similar threads out there with this same issue...but no solution! Basically I can't install SP2 on my Vista SP1 machine. The log below tells me that there are issues with my windows update client and I've noticed a similar post which Tim Quan provided some files to replace the corrupt ones, but the files had expired before I was able to download them. If these could be provided once again maybe I could give it a try :-)

Hi Jason,
As this issue is related to Windows Vista, I suggest discussing it in our Windows Vista forum:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/windowsvistaitpro/
To resolve this issue, you can simply copy these unavailable repair files from a working machine to this problematic machine.

Hi Dave.
I have exhausted the suggested resolutions in the article you posted above. Somehow I need to get my windows update client mum files fixed to install SP2 for Vista. Not sure what could've caused this, but I'm at a loss how to fix it.
Thanks,
JasonSaturday, January 2, 2010 3:43 AM -
