Project Server 2007 task update edit trail RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a Project Server 2007 setup and we use it for task related communication between the IT and the Business dept folks.

Sometimes we do see tasks getting updated even though the concerned PM cannot find any justification for the same. I would like to know how can we track who updated the task and when. Is it possible? If not then what is the alternative?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Tanmoy,

How are these "Communications" happening? If users are submitting task updates via PWA and PM's are accepting the updates, then you can go to Approval Center and look at the history of what changed.

However, if users of both groups are opening the plan in Project professional and editing it directly (like adding tasks, deleting tasks etc,.) , there is no change record out of box.
