System Center 2012 SP1 PowerShell Deployment Toolkit (PDT) Installer.Ps1 error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    We have been trying to use the PDT kit to deploy the entire SC 2012 SP1 suite.. We have successfully completed the download and VMCreation part using the given scripts. But when we are trying to run the final Installer script we are getting stuck at a particular point.

    So its basically not validating the ServiceManagerAdminRoleGroup. We have already created a group named as 'SMAdmins' in our AD and specified that in our Variable.xml file. But we are unable to proceed further.. Here is the snippet of the Variable.xml file

         <Variable Name="SystemCenter2012SP1ServiceManagerAdminRoleGroup" Value="tf\Administrators" />
          <Variable Name="SystemCenter2012SP1ServiceManagerPortalUsers" Value="tf\Domain Users" />

    SO are we missing anything here??

    Any light on the issue will be very helpful.

  • Hi Owais.

    You are getting this error because your localhost machine or the machine from which you are running this powershell script is not able to contact to the DC.

    So, I would suggest you to make this machine a member of domain (if not, already) or rejoin it to the domain (if already a member of domain) and then try again.

    I hope this will work.
