XQuartz automatically launches RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All!

I just updated MRO from 3.3.0 to 3.5.1 on a Mac with OS X 10.11.6. I have noticed that now every time I launch R (or RStudio), XQuarts automatically launches too, while this didn't happen with MRO 3.3.0.

Is this normal? If so, why does it do that?

    Thanks!

  • It looks like their is a bug in the R package 'colorspace' 1.2.5 that causes this behavior, according to this post:

I would try upgrading the colorspace package to the latest version, 1.3-2.

  • You can remove the old version of 'colorspace' with:

    remove.packages('colorspace')

    before installing the new version.

  • I am not sure that's the issue because when I launch R, 'colorspace' is not loaded.

    Any other suggestions?

  • What specific version of Xquartz are you running?
