Custom Questions for the QA gate??? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a list of questions in a file and want them to be displayed for the user registration portal instead of the one's provided out-of-box in FIM.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

  • Hello Harjot,

It's possible but it would mean that you would create you own entire AuthN gate, that will be a quite a bit of work (since you would need to implement supporting features are well).

What is the use case here? Why can the questions not be put in the QA Gate activity? How many questions are there?

  • Hello Harjot,

If you look at the "Password Reset AuthN Workflow" under your workflows you will be able to edit the questions within the self-service password reset process.

Reading these questions from a file is not support out of the box, although I am not sure that is what you are aiming for.

Refer to the password reset deployment guide for more info or give us a shout if the challenge remains.

  • Hi Almero,

Is it possible to write code to do the above.

    Thank you

  • The client wanted us to pick questions for each user from a source file that they provided.

We ended up writing those questions directly into the Gate.

Thanks for the response and apologies for the late reply.
