WindowsUpdate error 80070005 on Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit RRS feed

  • Started a month ago, that I cannot run windows update on Vista home premium 64 bit. 80070005 Unknown error. The fixes on this site and the web do not work. Tried reinstalling Service pack 2, will not reinstall.

  • Been there, tried the fixes, noithing works.

  • Same here, same OS, same problems, but no solution has worked, and it's been four months since I could receive updates.

    This occurred shortly after I installed SP2. I think that SP2 is the problem, but the fix alludes me.
