IIS Root Page Request ReWrite to other locally hosted site RRS feed

  • Question

  • So I've been scratching my head for a bit here trying to get a rewrite that would allow me to get the landing page of www.Xcite.com  to point to a sub hosted word press.

    Xcite isnt actually what im working on.  Don't want to put the real URL out there.

    Im currently working in a test environment in order to figure this out before deploying to a live site.

    The following works very well for the word press content and admin folders

    				<rule name="ReverseProxy - WordPress Folders" stopProcessing="true">
    						<match url="(wp-admin|wp-content|wp-includes)(.*)" />
    						<action type="Rewrite" url="https://testhp.Xcite.com/{R:0}" />
    				</rule>

    Tried this

    <rule name="ReverseProxy - RootRequest to Wordpress" stopProcessing="true">
    <match url="(.*)" />
    <conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAny">
    <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^(www\.Xcite\.com)$" />
    <add input="{PATH_INFO}" pattern="(wp-admin|wp-content|wp-includes)(.*)" />
    </conditions>
    <action type="Rewrite" url="https://testhp.Xcite.com"/>
    </rule>

    As well as this

    <match url="(www.Xcite.com)/*$" />
    <action type="Rewrite" url="https://testhp.Xcite.com/" />

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
