RMS Connector RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are planning to deploy Azure RMS connector for on premises exchange servers. What are the network requirements for Azure RMS connector server? As the connector servers deployed in internal network, and planning to use F5 load balancer, I am looking for guidelines. Our network team don't allow any incoming network traffic from external to internal network directly, only outgoing traffic allowed.

I don't see any document with specific requirements for RMS connector servers deployed inside network.

Thanks in advance for your help...

  • There will be no need for connectivity from internet to the connector. Anyone sent a protected document will get licensing and certification directly from Azure.

The load on the connector will vary depending on your environment, but it will only be your server services that will be using it such as Exchange and SharePoint and possibly FCI (depending on if you are using the RMS protection tools or not).
