Client runs a scan outside of the once a week schedule! RRS feed

    I have Forefront Client Security rolled out on Servers and clients, and use group policy (configured through the dashboard) to set a full scan to run on machines once a week, which works fine, except there are some machines that seem to be running a scan out side of the defined schedule, sometimes in the morning, and at other random times of the day.

    Why is this happening?


    Any help here much appreciated!!

    Could it be that these computers where shutdown when the scheduled scan was suppose to take place? FCS will start the scan as soon as they are started again.

    I will do some testing, and let you know the results. 


    If the scan is continually interrupted for what ever reason, will the scan automatically try and run every time the laptop / computer is switched back on?


    Also, we have Forefront Client Security installed on our base computer image.  If for example this was done 3 months ago, then the last scan is 3 months ago, untill it is added to the domain, and group policy applied.  Could you see this having any direct effects on the scan scheduling?
