Unable to delete the site system

Question
-
Hi All,
Recently in my environment the server which is holding the MP and DP was got decommissioned and right now the server is not up and running.
From SCCM primary site is trying to reach the server and where it is unable to find the same, now I need to remove that site system from SCCM primary site and when I do the same it says that site system can't be deleted because the component server is still existing, since the site server is decommissioned we can't access that server and do some investigation.
Any suggestions to delete from this site server from Primary site? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, I checked below blog and they have wrong registry Hives that need to be changed
Correct registry hive:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Components\SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER\Component servers\Site server name
and change the values according to the blog and now you can able to delete the site system from SCCM console. Thanks!

Hi
You have to follow some steps before completely deleting the site system from Primary site. Please go through the below link.
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/library/bb693500.aspx
Also the best practice is to remove MP & DP roles from the site system prior decommissioning it. Also check AD if there are any instances of the decommissioned server is present.
Thanks

Yeah, as per the best practice we need to remove the MP and DP first and then remove the site server, but in our case without intimating to our team the Site server got decommissioned and in this case can we do anything from SCCM side to remove the site server. Thanks!
