  • I don't need to print/export list. I need to export/print list item CONTENT.

  • So you mean from a document library? If so, there isn't a native way to do that in SharePoint 2003.

  • So you want to print an item (or selected items) meta data? No you can't do that out of the box. The easiest way would be to export the list to Excel and then print what you need. Unless you purchase some tools that could do that. Try sharepointreviews.com for a good list and review of tools.

  • Victor has the basis nailed.

    SharePoint 2003 didn't release the API, that came later, so the chances of you being able to develop something is remote.  I'd also hazard that 2003 products that catered for this are far, far beyond being sold or supported.

    You MAY be able to edit the forms via some JavaScript but that's somewhat remote.  An export to Excel is probably your best bet.

  • Lets make sure I'm getting this properly: -

    Your screenshot is for SharePoint 2007 by the way.  It links to a page called EditForm or ViewForm.aspx, which is what you're wanting to print.

    You'll need to edit the form. Open the pagem in designer, create a CEWP and use the following code: -

    <input type="button" value=" Print this page " onclick="window.print();return false;" />

    That should add a print button for any list item.
