Project Server 2010 Database Provisioning doesn't finish RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm trying to create a PWA site on brand new environment. After all the steps, "Provisioning Databases" doesn't stop. I verified the logs but there no error info found.

Any ideas are appreciated. And also how to stop process "Provisioning Databases"?

    Here are log steps:

  • Ram,

    Did you check SQL logs?

  • It can take a very long time, if there is not enough memory and the VM or servers are constantly swapping memory.

How long has it been running. How much physical memory on the SQL server and Project Server.

  • Thank you, Michael.

I waited for around 50 mins but still running. Physical Memory on SQL available and Project Server are 6GB and 8GB respectivily.

    Thanks, Ram

  • There was no error in SQL Logs.

    Log Info:

    Starting up database 'ProjectServer_Reporting'.

    Starting up database 'ProjectServer_Archive'.

    Starting up database 'ProjectServer_Draft'.

    Starting up database 'ProjectServer_Publish'.

    Thanks, Ram

  • Try restarting SQL Server, which could eventually fail PWA provisioning and you can use retry option to use same set of databases
