manually force a client installation retry

Question

Hi,
I'm just wondering if there's a way to manually force a retry of a SCCM 2012 client install. Usually the ccm.log on the server gives a failed message and then says 'sleeping for 900 seconds'. If I've made a change to the client machine how can I manually force the retry rather than wait 900 seconds?
Thanks,
Andrew

ConfigMgr retries automatically once per hour. You can initiate a new manual client push to speed things up.

Hi,
If you can restart services remote on that computer using computer management for instance you can restart the service called "ccmsetup", then it will try again.

Well, ccmsetup doesn't exist on the client machine as it wasn't contactable from SCCM, it then went into sleep mode and while in sleep mode I made a change on the client machine so that SCCM could see it.Monday, March 4, 2013 3:57 PM

Ok, so just right-click on the device in the console and click install client again. That's what I thought but imagined there would be another way.Tuesday, March 5, 2013 10:09 AM
