PWA 2010 saving custom filters RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can pwa users create filters and then save them? I'm guessing the answer is the same as it was for 2007 - no.

    thanks.

  • Hi,

this feature was available in Project Web Access 2003 and is not available in Project Web App 2010. How ever if you set a custom filter it's kept when you open the Project Web App the next time.

Alternatively you can setup views with typical filters that your users use, so that they can utilize those instead of repeatedly setting custom filters.

    Hope this helps,

  • As Renke states, view settings are cached per user so any filters, groupings, column ordering, etc. are kept. However, if the admin changes the view, the view update will clear all cached settings for all users of the view. Change control becomes much more important.

  • Hi Bellsusan,

As Treb has rightly pointed out that the behavior of filters are not similar to Project SErver 2007.

however, the option of grouping is available for every user in Project Center, and your grouping combination stays the same unless Admin changes the default view grouping from server settings. by default, the grouping appears for you is the one created in View for all the users from server settings by the Admin.

    hope this helps.
