How to enable list level Search in SharePoint 206

    Question

  • In SharePoint 2010, there is option to search this list and this site. When a list is accessed, by default  this list: list name come as search option.

But in SharePoint 2016, this option is missing.

Contextual which searches just in current page or list (they are labelled  like : This site : Name of site or This List : Name of list), they point to OSSSearchResult.aspx  is not there in SharePoint 2016 similar to SharePoint 2010

  • Hi,

You can find a new search box on every list level, this could help you to search list items in a particular list.

    Thanks,

    Siva

  • Hi

Are you means search scope in sharepoint 2010?

You can create search result page in sharepoint 2013/2016.

Then add search box and search result webpart.

You can limite search scope in search result webpart.

And you can also add search navigation in site settings.
