  • Hi,

There is a list of Microsoft management packs that are all free.

    Microsoft Management Packs

There is also a management pack list for SCOM 2019 over here:

    SCOM 2019 Management Packs

Most of the management packs in the above two lists are free, some third party management packs like from OpsLogix do come at a cost.

Some HP/HPE management packs are free, the HPE OneView for System Center comes at a cost.

For the Cisco management packs it requires a Cisco login (for example the Cisco UCS Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager).

    Best regards,

  • Hi Carlos,

you are right - all management Packs developed by Microsoft are free and we try to update  on a daily basis the list Leon referenced.

About the vendor management packs - HP, CISCO, Dell, Citrix, etc.. Almost all of them are licensed over the respective product you are using from the particular vendor. For example if you have purchased a Managed License for HPE OneView you have also a licensed your HPE OneView MP for SCOM. Or exampe with Citrix: If you have XenApp XenDesktop from Citrix your Citrix XAXD MP is already licensed.

There are small exceptions, but those are pretty rare.

The other categroy are the companies, specialized in management pack authoring, like Nice and OpsLogix. Those companies put big efforts in developing management packs that are really helpfull or have big added value. Considering the fact that they make a living out of this most their solutions are paid. They have also published some free solutions (example is the very nice Nice LogFile Monitoring MP), which in the most cases require only registering on their site.

There are also other companies, which develop products for SCOM like SquaredUp (or their spin off Cookdown) and Savision and they also pubish free management packs (called also community management packs).

You can get this community MP catalog after registering with Cooldown:
