lock computers (desktops) after 30 minutes of inactivity by GP server2012 r2 RRS feed

  • Question

  •  lock computers (desktops) after 30 minutes of inactivity. I found tow solution but they not working

    1-

Those policies are part of the screen saver configuration. Essentially, you can trigger a screensaver to kickoff after 30 minutes and then require the user to enter a password when the screensaver is disabled. These policies are all found under User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Control Panel/Display.

For screen saver option, just choose Enabled.

    • For screen saver executable, choose Enabled and then type “rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation
    • For password protect the screen saver, choose Enabled.
    • For screen saver timeout, choose Enabled and then type the amount of time you want to lock your computer in seconds. (For example, if you want to lock your computer after three minutes of idle time, type 180)

I Can't screen saver executable name

2 -  Create a new GPO then edit it and go to Computer Conifg>Policies>Windows Settings>Security Settings>Local Policies>Security Options and find Interactive logon: Machine inactivity limit. Set that to whatever time you want and it will lock the PC after it hits that timer

I Can't Interactive logon: Machine inactivity limit

Needing yor help for these issues
