Monitor Disk Free Space Monitor generates no Alert

Question
-
Hi
I have following problems on some 2003 Servers:
When the free space of a logical disk fall under the defined threshold, it generates no "Logical Disk Free Space is low" - Alert.
All the Parameters are correctly configured, because a "State Change Event" is visible in the Health Explorer of the particular server.
There is really no alert, i looked over all Resolution States and the reportings.
Has anyone of you the same weird problem?
Thank you!
My Configuration:
Windows 2008 R2, SQL 2008 Build 10.0.2757, SCOM 2007 R2 CU2, All Management Packs are UpToDate
Configured Overrides on Logical Disk Free Space Monitor (so that 10% and 5% free space should generate an alert):
Error MBytes Threshold for System Drives 999999
Warning MBytes Threshold for System Drives 999999
Interval (seconds) 1800
Error MBytes Threshold for Non-System Drives 999999
Warning MBytes Threshold for Non-System Drives 999999

Hi Marc
That is the parameter - you'll see 2 lines there (in your screenshot). Just widen the column. One will say critical. The other will say critical or warning.

When you look under authoring and locate the monitor, is Generate an Alert enabled?
I also think you override values are incorrect, I have made a screenshot of the default values, please try to set it back to the defaults, and see if there comes an alert when you test the disk space with a test machine. The numeric values and and percentages need to be in equal, only then this monitor will work as designed.

Hi,
The monitor triggers only an alert on critical state. Is that your case or do you only notice state changes to warning ?
Regards.

Hi Marc,
You have described that the state change event is visible in health explorer. Did the state change from Healthy to warning or Healthy to Critical?
Thanks,
Shreedevi

Hi Shreedevi
It changes from Health to Warning:

Hi Marc
This monitor does not generate an alert for warning - if you look at the very first response from Shadowman and the very first graphic, then you can see this monitor by default only generates alerts when the health state is critical. You can change this setting via an override but be aware that you will only get an alert on the first state change. So if the disk goes:
health -> warning = Alert
warning -> critical = No new alert

Thank you Graham
But I'm not able to override the parameter (2003 and 2008):

Or is it another Parameter?
Thank you & regards
