  • Question

  • I uses HP probook 6560b with Windows 7 SP 1 Professional 64 bit  notebook. Each time i initiate a shutdown event ( either thru the start menu or command prompt), and event is logged into my reliability history with the following description "The previous system shutdown at 6:34:20 AM on ‎2/‎12/‎2012 was unexpected." Please does any one knows how i can resolve this? Thank you

    Hi,

Please remove all unnecessary hardware and logon with Safe Mode to see if the same issue occurs.

Also you can update BIOS and chipset to the latest version for test.

If issue persists, upload the dump file:

    1. Click “Start”, type “%SystemRoot%\Minidump" (without quotation marks) in “Search” bar and press “Enter”.

    2. Go to your Desktop, right-click on it and create a new folder named "Dump".

    3. Copy all the memory dump files (looks like [Mini092008-01.dmp]) in Minidump to this folder.

    4. Right-click on the Dump folder, click "Send To", and click "Compressed (zipped) Folder".

    5. Upload to SkyDrive.
