ODBC Connection string RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Access 2003, I have tables linked from an SQL source.

My VBA connection string has been:

    Dim db as database

    Set db = OpenDatabase("", False, False, "ODBC;DSN=" & "SERVER_IERP85_USW" & ";UID=" & "SA" & ";PWD=" & "us99w1" & ";DATABASE=" & "IERP85" & ";")

Now they have messed with the server and the UID and PWD are no longer good. Manually, making the connection using the check box Trusted Connection works.

    Is this a good substitute?

    Set db = OpenDatabase("", False, False, "ODBC;DSN=" & "SERVER_IERP85_USW" & ";Trusted_Connection=" & "Yes" & ";DATABASE=" & "IERP85" & ";")

    Thanks for the help.
