Vista won't recognize when the charger cord is plugged in. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Whenever I plug the power cord into the Vista, the light indicating that my computer is charging turns on for a few minute, and my computer charges normally. Then it just turns off, and when I mouse over the battery icon, its acts as if its not plugged in at all. This isn't a "Plugged in, not charging" problem. I only got the power cord about a month ago, and it was a replacement for my original cord (which had a different problem.) I also noticed that my new cord is different than my old cord; it doesn't fit was well. The head seems like it's slightly wider than what the first had.

  • as long as its the laptop indication L.E.Ds that are giving you signals,it means its a Hardware fault, change the adapter to check and stop use immediately, incompatible power supply adapters could yield a motherboard fault.
