local and group security policy are missing on my window 10 RRS feed

  • just observe that local security policy and group policy editor are missing on my window 10. can I go ahead and download it myself ? will there be any complications?

    It seems you're on Windows 10 basic edition such as Home etc. and those snap-ins aren't available on basic editions.

    You need to upgrade to Pro, Education or Enterprise edition to have Local Security Policy Editor and GPO snap-in.

  • If you type gpedit.msc in search box(Cortana) but can’t see local group policy editor, it means that your Windows edition doesn’t support group policies configurations, you can use registry to achieve some goals, or consider upgrading to Pro and higher editions.
