Skype for Business Server - Extracting data with PowerShell RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there!

We are currently working on a application on where employees can be found on a map with their live status. To test this we want to build a basic applications with the user information data taken from our skype for business server.

Is there a way to get user information + live status with powershell commands? I've found a SkypeforBusiness Module but this was only for use with Skype for Business in Azure.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

You could run the command “Export-CsUserData” as Admin to export SFB user data in a format. The data will be exported as a .ZIP file containing a pair of XML documents.

And for the presence you want, I found an article here regarding creating the presence dashboard via Skype Web SDK, including subscribing to presence changes for each contact.

Besides, the dynamic user data such as presence stored in the database called “rtcdyn” under database instance RTC Local, you could export the data from RTC Local instance if possible.

And here is a similar case about fetching user presence data could be as the reference.
