Numbers in a table are rounded in Power Query Editor RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a table in Excel with values that are being rounded when opened in editor.

The column type is decimal number so I don't know why the values aren't being changed. I also tried changing the type to currency just out of curiousity, but the values remain as rounded integers.

How do I get the decimal numbers to show in power query?

  • Hi Daniel. The numbers in the PQ Editor are rounded when they're displayed, similarly to how Excel number cells get rounded. If you click on an individual cell in the PQ Editor, however, you should see the full value.

  • Hi Ehren,

This table is a duplicate table (only the values were changed). In the original table the numbers weren't rounded. Also, when I click on the cell in PQ editor, value is still rounded.

  • Hm, that's strange. Can you share a screenshot or sample workbook that illustrates the issue? Alternatively, if you open PQ's advanced editor you should be able to copy the M formula text and share it here.
