Microsoft Windows Server DHCP 2012/2012 R2 - Multiple Issues RRS feed

We are having a number of problems with this Management Pack.

First, as many others have reported, we are having access permissions issues with event (ID=26004).

However, I have not found anything related to our specific issue. We are able to successfully monitor the logs inside the same trust boundary (domain) as the Management Servers, however in domains in which we have deployed gateways, we are receiving the error. Investigation of the event logs has shown that although the DHCP servers are located in remote domains, a management server (not a gateway) is attempting to access the DHCP server, using credentials from the management server domain, which is of course untrusted in the gateway domain. Attempts to force the use of Local System on all DHCP servers using the "DHCP Server Action Account" do not modify this behavior.

Second, it appears as though a bug that was (supposedly) fixed in November of 2015 has regressed (per the MP documentation).

The following bug has been fixed in the Management Pack:

    • In a DHCP server with multiple scopes, if the first scope exceeds the threshold for minimum available addresses, alerts are sent for all scopes on the DHCP server even for the ones that don't violate the threshold. The fix ensures that alerts are sent only for the scope exceeding the threshold.

We are seeing alerts for all scopes on a given DHCP server when any one of those scopes has emptied the lease pool.

Please let us know ASAP how to resolve.
