Steady state and losing profiles RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our library has started using Steady State in place of Clean Slate to lock down public compters. We are running the software on 12 public computers using Win XP SP3. On average 3 machines per week come up with a loggin error Stating that the profile could not be loaded due to a to long file name in the temporary internet files. Once this happens we can not log in with any user name or get access to the desktop even in safe mode. The machines need to be reimaged at this point or the system rolled back to a time before Steady State was installed. I need to find a solution to this or go back to using Clean Slate Ver. 5

    Thank you
