Hello! I don't have an issue to try to fix, but I would like to inquire about a certain registry directory
Background: My company was having an issue with Onedrive-Files on Demand when we finally enabled it with our most recent Windows OS upgrade. The symptoms were when on a wireless network people would not be able to select files stored in the cloud (little
cloud symbol next to file). When they would click on the file the file and a message would popup saying "Can't open online only file" with the options to download later or cancel. I spent some time on forums and with a few Microsoft techs and after
a month or so of troubleshooting with them found that if you remove the registry directory we were able to retrieve the files again while on the wireless network.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\UEV\Agent\ShellProcess\explorer.exe
Question: My question is if anybody knows anything about this explorer.exe directory in the registry. What it does, why it would cause this issue, and what other ramifications there could be from removing it. I've searched a plethora of forums and can't
seem to find anything about it.
