PQ Active Directory Global Catalog query RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, is there any way that I can get PQ to do a global catalog query rather than a DC query?

I would like to get a list of all users within all domains and contacting remote DC's is really slow.  All of the Info I need can be achieved through an ldap GC (GC://....) query and would be loads faster, but I'm not sure if PQ supports this?

When I look at the source of a std AD query it's a binding of source=ActiveDirectory.Domains(<domain>), so not much of a clue and I cant find any help on the ActiveDirectory.Domain function.

    Thanks

    Alex

  • Hi Alex,

Querying the global catalog is not currently supported.

Can you propose the feature on Power BI User Voice? That's the best way to make sure that the request is noted and that other customers can vote for it.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Tristan, thanks for getting back.  I've added it as an idea on user voice.

    Cheers
