Announcing General Availability of Windows Azure Active Directory, Generic LDAP, and SharePoint UPS Connectors for FIM2010R2
We are pleased to announce that we have released three new Connectors for FIM2010R2 for public General Availability.
Windows Azure Active Directory Connector
This Connector can be used in scenarios not supported by DirSync, for example multi-forest or non-AD. We still recommend to use DirSync as the primary solution to synchronize AD to AAD and use it whenever possible. The Connector comes with sample code and configuration for a resource/account-forest scenario. For more information, please refer to the TechNet documentation: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=330371.
This Connector will allow you to connect to an LDAPv3 compliant directory. It currently supports the same LDAP directories (IBM, Novell, and Oracle) we ship with FIM2010R2 and will over time replace the built-in LDAP Management Agents. For more information, please refer to the TechNet documentation: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=270179.
SharePoint User Profile Store
This Connector will connect to the SharePoint User Profile Store and can be used as a replacement for the built-in synchronization engine which comes with SharePoint, for example in mulit-forest or non-AD scenarios. For more information, please refer to the TechNet documentation: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=331344.

We have the Account Forest & Resource Forest scenario as in the example provided and moving to O365.
We will have Hybrid set-up during only migration. What we would like to do is to keep dir sync (from the account forest) and use our own FIM to write the below attributes to the resource forest. Once the migration is over, we would only need to rely on the dir sync. Are there any references for this scenario? Comments?
msExchArchiveStatus Online Archive: Enables customers to archive mail. msExchUCVoiceMailSettings Enable Unified Messaging (UM) - Online voice mail: This new attribute is used only for UM-Microsoft Lync Server 2010 integration to indicate to Lync Server 2010 on-premises that the user has voice mail in online services. msExchUserHoldPolicies Litigation Hold: Enables cloud services to determine which users are under Litigation Hold. ProxyAddresses
(LegacyExchangeDN <online LegacyDn> as X500)
Enable Mailbox: Offboards an online mailbox back to on-premises Exchange. PublicDelegates Cross-premises Public Delegation: Enables users to specify delegates for their mailbox. SafeSendersHash
Filtering: Writes back on-premises filtering and online safe and blocked sender data from clients.
Will there be more complete documentation (end-to-end) for the SharePoint Connector? I have a how-to, and while it got the OK from the PG, it isn't "official".
