Does this means you have to do a custom or full install from ISO or is there a workaround?Tuesday, September 29, 2015 3:08 PM

Hi TheIronFistsOfDrDoom,
Are you upgrading from a previous version to Windows 10?
We could try to do the upgrade from an ISO as ZigZag3143x suggested. Please ensure you have downloaded the right version and chosen "Upgrade" option when we choose install type.
Before we do the upgrade, please run "dism/online/cleanup-image/restorehealth" or "sfc /scannow" to check the health of system files.Best regards

I would use the media creation tool and update using that.
The fastest way to get the upgrade is to download the ISO. An ISO is like a dvd so to use it you will need to right click>mount. Start the upgrade from within windows.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THESE TO DO A CLEAN INSTALL (until after you have already updated). If you do you will not be able to activate it unless you have previously upgraded to win 10 and activated it. You then will be forced to re-install your previous OS before upgrading to win 10
Warning Running the media creation tool may prevent you from rolling back to a previous OS
The Official Final Windows 10 download is now available
Use the download tool to create ISO media to update your windows.

"dism/online/cleanup-image/restorehealth" is an absurd answer.
Please provide a suggestion which can be executed by Windows.Saturday, September 1, 2018 4:43 AM
