AppV Compatibility

Hi Guys,

I got 350 applications to package with AppV. I don’t have much experience with AppV and I would like to know witch applications are compatible with appV. Is there any tool, criteria or guidelines to check whether an application is compatible with Appv? If you have any information or ideas please let me know.

AFAIK, both App-DNA and ChangeBase offer software solutions for this (and now Flexera too with OEM'd ChangeBase's offering in their AdminStudio).

Other than that, there's quite good decision matrix over at http://rorymon.com/blog/?p=174 which could be of help if you do it manually. Additionally, MS's Sequencing Guide (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/7/8/F784A197-73BE-48FF-83DA-4102C05A6D44/App-V/App-V%204.6%20Service%20Pack%201%20Sequencing%20Guide.docx) contains information about things to watch for.
