Subproject Team Members can see entire master project RRS feed

  • Question

  • When a team member is a resource assigned to a task in a subproject, they have access to that subproject automatically. If that subproject's master is opened, they can now view all subprojects inserted into the master project. It's like reverse-inheritance of permission. Can this behavior be changed, or can th. be barred from the master project while retaining individual access to the subproject to which they are assigned?

  • Hi CBaratta,

It’s a security call from admin, that you want to give visibility of project schedule to the team members or not.

MyTask is a place where resources can view all the tasks assigned to him.

You cannot show filtered task in the project schedule page to the resources, If you want to show projects assign to him and restrict the schedule PDP to be visible then you need to uncheck below checkboxes from the “Team members” security template.

    1. View Project Schedule in Project Web App

    2. View Project Schedule Views

After making these changes assign this template to Team Member group again.

Hope this will help, please let us know if need any clarification.
