  • Hi,

Besides VMachu's suggestion, if a restore point or backup has not been made since the file was changeds or system protection is not be turned on for the drive those files are stored on, Windows can't create previous versions.

Thus the Recycle Bin should be the first place you look to recover deleted files. Some third-party file recovery program should be used to recover deleted files only if the files have been emptied from the Recycle Bin.

Go to Recycle Bin and restore the file you want back. If you have deleted file using shift+Del key you can't get them from Recycle Bin. In such case you can recover data using Restore Previous Version option which can be done by following the steps mentioned here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/recover-lost-or-deleted-files

If you are still unable to recover your precious data give this tool a chance http://www.filerepairtools.com/windows-data-recovery.html
