Troubleshooting stop code 0x7a RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey everyone. Let me start by saying I am NOT an IT professional, but I know a bit more about this kind of thing than your average user. I am also running Windows 7 Home, not IT Pro.

I have been getting an increasing number of BSODs recently. Most of them have been stop 0x7a. I have WhoCrashed and use it to analyze the dump, but I have been coming up short on solutions for this problem on my own. The full bugcheck code is as follows:

    0x7A (0xFFFFF8A003CFF870, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000185, 0xB701E8C0, 0xFFFFF88002A80000)

    KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

And here is a link to the dump file on my SkyDrive:

    https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=17CAE875CE80E92C!109&authkey=!AP_-dmAO0_42AIY&ithint=file%2c.dmp

I'm kind of at a loss! Any help is way appreciated.

  • Hi,

    ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000185 - The I/O device reported an I/O error.

DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware

    BUGCHECK_STR: 0x7a_c0000185

    CUSTOMER_CRASH_COUNT: 1

    DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: WIN7_DRIVER_FAULT

From your dump file, we could see there are some disk error. Back up your data as soon as possible then do a disk check.
